I'm going to Ottawa, Ontario later this month for the Ottawa Linux Symposium. Has anyone visited Ottawa before? Any tips?
Apparently the city has a large network of bike paths, so I'm planning to do some cycling.
I had hoped to avoid driving (~10h), but it's still more economical to rent a car and pay $4.20/gal for fuel than to fly or take a train. The drive should be scenic, though.
My mobile phone is not a GSM type, so I'll need to address that issue as well. I won't need a lot of minutes (getting it mostly for peace of mind), so maybe one of the prepaid services will do the trick. Some companies will ship you a phone and SIM card to use for a few days, and then you mail it back to them afterward. I'd rather not end up with a useless $39.99 phone. |
